Kingston Holdings is moving ahead with a major expansion of its manufacturing operations in the United Arab Emirates, introducing additional product lines under its Rexton brand. The company, founded in 1995 in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, operates from a 140,000-square-foot facility and has built a catalogue of more than 1,200 products. The expansion is expected to triple its current production capacity and strengthen the role of local manufacturing in supplying electrical, mechanical and plumbing markets. The move also aligns with the UAE government’s Make in Emirates programme, which promotes domestic industrial capability and reduced reliance on imported goods.
New products added in the UAE
The expanded Rexton range includes advanced circuit protection equipment, the updated Signature Plus switch series, and pipes and fittings for water distribution and sewage systems. Kingston said the products will be manufactured locally and designed for use in modern infrastructure, commercial buildings and utility applications.
Focus on quality and standards
The company’s UAE facility holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Its products are built to meet widely used international benchmarks, including BS, IEC, CB and UL standards. Kingston’s management has emphasised that local production gives the company tighter oversight of quality while helping support industrial self-sufficiency in the UAE.
Regional and global reach
Kingston supplies mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors across the UAE, the wider GCC, the Levant, Africa and Europe. Its products are exported to more than 100 countries, giving the company an established route to market for the new Rexton lines.
Partnerships and market position
The manufacturer has longstanding relationships with international brands including Clipsal Australia, Pierlite Australia, Glen Dimplex Ireland, Xpelair UK and GP Batteries of Hong Kong. The latest expansion underscores Kingston’s push into higher-efficiency, safety-focused and durable products for electrical and plumbing applications.
