Bahrain to Host “Mara’ee 2024” Livestock and Agricultural Exhibition: Tender Issued

The Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture has issued a tender for the organization of the
Bahrain Livestock and Agricultural Exhibition (Mara’ee 2024). The tender, issued through the
Tender Board, seeks a contractor to handle the design, planning, marketing, construction, and
complete production of all exhibition requirements.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to, the opening ceremony, live animal
demonstrations, agricultural product exhibitions, and the construction of temporary facilities. All
aspects must adhere to specific requirements detailed in the tender document.

Bidders are required to submit a “Declaration of Compliance” as outlined in the tender
document’s appendix, as well as an “Independent Price Determination Certificate” as outlined
in the tender document’s appendix. Failure to provide these documents will result in the bid
being disqualified. Bidders are also required to submit a single price for each option listed in
the tender document.

The Mara’ee Show serves as a platform to showcase Bahrain’s unique collection of rare
Arabian horse breeds and the rare animal breeds owned by Bahraini breeders and farm
owners. This presents significant investment opportunities.

The exhibition also attracts global companies and leading experts in agricultural and livestock
production to participate in these specialized events at the regional and international level. This
reflects the success of plans to provide a comprehensive food security system, diversify its
sources, encourage investment in this sector, and contribute to the national economy.

Exhibition Objectives

The exhibition aims to showcase the latest advancements in livestock and agricultural
technologies, promote sustainable agricultural practices, foster partnerships and collaborations
between local and international stakeholders, enhance Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for
livestock and agricultural trade, and raise awareness about the importance of food security.
