(MENAFN– Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) Geneva – The Kingdom of Bahrain formally deposited its instrument of acceptance of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, becoming the 97th WTO member to complete the acceptance process. Fourteen additional acceptances are required for the agreement to enter into force.
The instrument was deposited in the presence of Ambassador Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office and other international organisations in Geneva, along with Maryam Abdulaziz Al Doseri, Commercial Affairs Attaché at Bahrain’s Permanent Mission in Geneva.
Bahrain’s deposit of the instrument underscores its firm commitment to supporting the multilateral trading system, advancing sustainable development initiatives, and contributing to the preservation of marine wealth for future generations.
The Kingdom of Bahrain also reiterates its commitment to strengthening international cooperation in economic and environmental domains, in line with its comprehensive vision for sustainable growth and the responsible management of natural resources.
