MP Basma Mubarak emphasised the necessity of addressing environmental challenges,
particularly air quality improvement, pollution reduction, and the expansion of green spaces in
the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a statement Marking World Environment Day, she advocated for implementing effective
measures and legislation to prioritise this issue at both legislative and executive levels to
achieve swift and tangible results.
Mubarak highlighted the critical link between maintaining low and safe pollution levels and
enhancing air quality through increased afforestation and preservation of existing agricultural
areas.
She commended the positive initiatives by various governmental and private entities to plant
trees and expand green spaces in Bahrain.

Furthermore, Mubarak reiterated her call for heightened attention to environmental affairs in
Bahrain, focusing on improving air quality and reducing pollution.
